About

CRAFT (College Retention and Achievement Following Trauma) is a mental health consulting firm that provides training and consulting services through a trauma-informed lens to university/college Student Affairs staff and educators so they can assist their student body with successfully navigating their college experience.

Why CRAFT?

Dr. Lenz-Rashid has studied the outcomes of, and best practice models for students in higher education and post-secondary education at the national, state and Bay Area levels. Her clinical experience, training background, research, and publications have provided valuable support to higher education professionals about how best to serve these vulnerable students using evidence-based and evidence-informed practice - that focuses on high retention, persistence and graduation rates.

As an expert in mental wellbeing and the trauma experiences of college and high school students, Dr. Lenz-Rashid has facilitated enriching and skill-based trainings for Student Affairs staff and part-time and full-time faculty at a number of colleges and universities (including many Hispanic-serving institutions) and post-secondary education schools. She also provides consulting services at a number of large and small non-profits that serve children and youth being served by the foster care, juvenile justice, educational, and behavioral health systems.
